“Nusät”
“Nusät” is a traditional recipe of Lungavilla’s community from medieval times. It was prepared on 23rd December, during the “Seven Courses Dinner” which put an end to Christmas time fasting.
Cook 800 g of pumpkin flesh (15′), then press the flesh and mix in one egg, 60g of bread crumbs and 60 g of grated “grana padano” cheese. Then slice an onion and toast it with oil, salt and butter; after toasting, remove the onion and add the resulting oil and butter compound to the pumpkin flesh. Put the mixture into a baking tray previously spread with butter and sprinkled with bread crumbs. Bake the mixture at 150°C (35 minutes). After baking, garnish the pie with nut kernels.
